On August 21, 2010, Sweet Vettes had the pleasure of catering desserts to an event with a Luau theme for a 55^th Birthday Bash. 

I remember getting a voicemail from someone identifying herself as Gail.  In that call she mentioned that she and her daughter had tasted some of Sweet Vettes Desserts at an event in Minneapolis where I had recently vend.  She complimented me how delicious the sweet potato pie and Louisiana banana pudding samples were.

When I returned her call, she told me that every five years she has a big party and this year she wanted down home desserts.  She asked if I would be interested in catering desserts for her Bash.  The rest was history.

Over the next day or two, we engaged in a number of conversations to work out the details.   Gail offered to bring payment to me two weeks prior to her event and I agreed to a free delivery and threw in extra pies.  She also asked me to bring my business cards to display.  Her offer was brilliant.

Gail’s 55th Bash begin at 5pm.  Sweet Vette delivered a half dozen sweet potato pies and one extra large Louisiana banana pudding at 3:30pm sharp.  Gail then invited me back to the event to join in the fun of the evening. 

Upon my return to the Bash later that evening, a number of her guests said to me “you are the banana pudding lady, it is delicious”.  Other guests said “you are the lady who made the sweet potato pie, it sure was good”.
