All gone was the word at  Sister Spokesman June 2010 event which took place at Arnellia’s in St. Paul.  Sweet Vettes Desserts sold out of Louisiana banana puddings, those hot out of the oven sweet potato pies and those irresistible banana nut breads.

Each month at the Sister Spokesman Event, Sweet Vettes gives out samples of each of those items being sold.  This really gets the crowd stirring about and coming back for more.  It was a full house with many vendors on hand.  The theme was Relationships:  How to better have communications with our partners. 

On hand were three panelists who gave straight talk on how to speak effectively to get your point across, how to act at a certain time and when to agree to move closer to your desired outcome.  There’s an art to winning in relationships.  As women, we must act like a lady and think like a man as coined by the nationally known author/comedian Steve Harvey.  This quote was used by one panelists.  If we as women could actually do as Mr. Harvey suggests then  we might be more successful in relationships.  It was pointed out by all three panelists that women are much more emotional than men.

June’s event was well attended in part by the $1M question… “How do we make relationships work”.  There were a host of questions from the audience and many good responses from the panelists.

Sister Spokesman is a monthly event with a wide variety of topics needing to be discussed or should I say discussions that once seemed taboo, openly get discussed at Sister Spokesman Events.  There are few avenues in the Twin Cities to get honest straight talk from experts on a monthly basis affecting sistahs.  The information received each month is so valuable and provides social networking between sisters, a host of information and building stronger bonds between sisters.  It captures the desire of business oriented women and others needing information around many other topics.  Getting out on a Saturday afternoon to relax, mingle and have a goodtime is well spent each month at Sister Spokesman Events.
