Sister Spokesman Event – April 2010

0

The theme at April’s Sister Spokesman event was mother-daughter relationships.  The panelists were two couples each being a mother/daughter couple who shared their stories of raising their daughters.  The daughters sitting at Mom’s side openly spoke their mind and shared their perspective views.  While each daughter was an older teenager as well as an only child to each of the mothers, there was certainly a lot of love as well as many challenges.  The event took place at Arnellia’s and was well attended.  The conversations were frank, yet honest.  I personally thanked each of them for openly sharing their stories.

Sweet Vettes Desserts was on hand with fresh out-of-the-oven, mouth watering desserts.  Sweet Vette was given and accepted the opportunity to give a live 30 second spot regarding her business.  This rare opportunity was offered by the Spokesman Recorder Newspaper’s President Mrs. Tracey Williams Dillard and appreciated.  Sweet Vette first sent a huge thank you for supporting her.  She shared with attendees that Sweet Vettes Desserts has been in existence for almost a year.  Also shared was how it warms her heart when a customer say to her “This is one of the reasons that I come to Sister Spokesman every month so I can get my Louisiana banana pudding.”  She invited all the sistahs in the house to stop at her booth for free samples of her mouth watering desserts.  She gave samples of her banana nut bread, her fresh out-of-the-oven sweet potato pie and her delicious Louisiana banana pudding the latter two desserts being her signature items.  She encouraged those in attendance to go to her website to check out the reasonable prices and also to get a glimpse of her products menu of other goods and event offered under the umbrella of Sweet Vettes Desserts.

As summer approaches Sweet Vettes is having conversations with people here and there to get the name Sweet Vettes Desserts a broader audience in the community.  I’m having more and more conversations with people making inquiries for their upcoming family reunions, baby showers  and other gatherings where Sweet Vettes Desserts services can be tapped.

During the Easter season word of mouth was huge with a wave of continual orders.  Many of the orders being placed by some of the same customers.  When a customer whose familiar with my desserts, orders one small Louisiana banana pudding one day and days later call for three more (2 small and 1 large) for family members and friends who enjoyed the desserts too, this is a blessing.   It’s wonderful knowing that a customer was totally satisfied.  This kind of activity is what leads to discounts for such a satisfied customer who helps promote Sweet Vettes Desserts.  Discounts are a proven way to do business for satisfied customers with large orders.  I invite all to click the “About/Testimonials link” to hear what satisfied customers are saying about Sweet Vettes Desserts products.
