Camphor Chili Luncheon and Craft Show – December 2010

0

On Saturday, December 4th, Camphor United Methodist Church held it’s Annual  Chili Luncheon and Craft Show from 9:00am – 4:00pm.  The earlier part of the morning browsers wondered from booth to booth viewing handmade products from jewelry, desserts, photography and other specialties.  While in the afternoon, it was a combination downing bowls of chili, buying items and tasting samples of homemade desserts.

There was a wide variety of chilis to choose from including Tex Mex chili, Baha chili, turkey chili, traditional chili, vegetarian chili and more.  In addition to the dozen crocks of chili, there were all the “fixins” to add additional flavor to any bowl of chili from sour cream, shredded cheese, fresh onions, crackers, corn bread, Doritos and other sides.

Each customer would pay $5.00 each and down as many bowls of chili as their heart desired.  Personally, I finished off a second bowl and each bowl was delicious.

Sweet Vettes had a booth with those down home, mouth watering desserts.  Samples of those hot out of the oven banana nut breads were served up with many sales following.  Other sale items included Louisiana banana pudding, apple pies, mouth watering sweet potato pies and peach cobblers.

If you or someone you know desire delicious down home desserts for your holiday gatherings or other events, Sweet Vettes Desserts is the place.
