Dinner at Sweet Vette’s held its last dinner for 2011 onSunday, December 11th. A tasty menu was prepared including spaghetti with ground turkey and beef smoked sausage, golden brown fried catfish fillets, garlic French bread with a buttered broccoli-carrot medley.
Sitting at lunch on a Tuesday with co-workers and sharing one of Sweet Vette’s Desserts most popular salads, I was asked to cater for a small group. It’s a book club gathering of 8–10 members.
It all went down on Saturday December 3rd at the Minneapolis Urban League (MUL). This was a first at this location, however a good location with a good turnout. This month’s theme: Holiday Bazaar
On Saturday, November 5, 2011, the United Methodist Women of Camphor UM Church sponsored their Annual Chili Luncheon and Craft Show. It was held from 9:00am – 3:00pm at 585 Fuller in St. Paul.
The ladies of Sister Spokesman were at one of our beloved locations in Minneapolis on October 1, 2011. The theme: Grandparents Raising Grandkids. This is a topic many in our community can certainly relate to as more and more grandparents are raising their grandkids.
Dinner at Sweet Vette’s also know as DASV kicked off on Sunday, 9.11.11 at 3:00pm. The sun was so bright on that beautiful day. A small crowd was in the house as the aroma filled the air.
Sister Spokesman event was held at one of our favorite spots around the Twin Cities. Mrs. Arnellia’s is the only African American female owned establishment in the area. Attendees always enjoy this location and what it offers our community.
Dinner at Sweet Vette’s was a huge success on August 14th at 3pm. Sweet Vettes hit an all time high for the total number of meals prepared for the monthly event. There were take outs and stop-ins, in addition to the regulars who support this event each month.
Sweet Vette’s Desserts had the pleasure of catering for Sanna and guest. On August 6, 2011, while attending a wedding reception, I was asked if I would have time to cater a small meal.
It all went down in Bloomington at the Knights of Columbus on Saturday, July 30th. The theme was Relationships: What works and what doesn’t.
